Sophie Bichener:
"This was my first half marathon. I had high expectations considering the Perkins Great Eastern is renowned for the atmosphere on the day and I was not disappointed! The organisation was fantastic, I didn't have to think about anything just turn up and run! The members of the public both volunteering on the day and coming out of their houses to support the runners by cheering and clapping for hours was amazing. It's a shame about the weather but was still a great experience. Congratulations!"

Lana Hornigold:
"Thanks for a fantastic race - brilliantly organised, fabulous atmosphere despite the horrendous weather! Think I actually gained weight during the race for the first time ever due to water saturation. Loved it, thank you."

Alan Butt:
"Great day a really well organised. Thanks to all involved!"

David Matta:
"Thanks for putting on such a great day and thanks to all those who came out to support in dreadful weather! So many people clapping you on gives you that drive to carry on."
Ian Chilley: "Had a great race and great day, thank you."

Christopher Brown:
"Superb day today. Managed to literally take 40 minutes off my PB, since I trained and did it properly. It's the fourth time I have done this race, this year- 1hr 55 and 19sec, compared with 2hrs 35 last year."

Lilli Stickley:
"Had a great run today, taking 11 minutes off of my PB. Thank you to all of the crowds who came out in the rain to cheer all of the runners on- it means a lot to hear someone clapping and cheering. Well done to everyone."

Jake Coe:
"Brilliant race today, despite the rain, but who doesn't love jumping in a mud pit at the end."

Chris Steven:
"I loved it today, really, really did. Reminded me of Stafford Half, even with the rain the wind there were people out in their droves to watch us nutters bomb round!"

Karen Johnson:
"Great day. Thank you to all the marshals for cheering everyone on and putting up with the weather!"

Annemarieke Wombwell:
"Great race today despite the rain, thought the supporters were amazing especially all those fantastic kids that gave high fives...really made me smile! Well done to everyone!"

Andy Bailey:
"You get some really classy support in Peterborough - at just over half way in the Perkins Great Eastern Run a very smartly dressed lady clapped me as I passed and said loudly in a very posh voice "commendable"! Best encouragement I've heard in ages, kept me chuckling to myself all-round the second half!"

Jemma Currington:
"A big thank you to all the organisers, marshals and supporters that braved the weather today. It really is appreciated!"

Rebecca Fowler:
"Great run despite the weather! Some brilliant costumes in the fun run!"

Jenny Mogford:
"A personal thank you from me to all the people who braved today's weather to make the race possible. Especially marshals, as I'm sure standing about in the wet was worse than running and all the lovely spectators who encouraged us, clapped, cheered high fived and shared their music. A great race despite the weather!"

Lorenzo Monteforte:
"So proud to have ran the Perkins Great Eastern Run - 13 miles for Arthritis Research UK. Another achievement I am proud of"

Bob Conroy:
"Very good run today, despite the weather. Well done everyone! I would like to thank all the Marshall's, organisers and the crowds that supported everyone all the way round. See you next year."
