Virgin Active will be providing all the water and High5 will once again provide the high energy drink and gel at the end of the race.

Training Tips
Yelling Performance (run by Liz and Martin Yelling) have put together a complete training guide to help you prepare for this years race. They have produced training schedules for all abilities from new to the experienced runners. Full details will be published on the website in the next few days.
High demand for places
100's of entries have been received since the entry database opened 9 days ago; the demand for places has never been higher at this early stage. Don't forget that over £7,500 in prize money must be won.
UKA Grand Prix

The 2012 Perkins Great Eastern Run has been awarded runbritain Grand Prix race status, with more than £55,000 of British only prize money on offer. There are just five races in the series: Mizuno Reading Half Marathon, Bupa London 10k, Admiral Swansea Bay 10k, Bristol Half Marathon and Perkins Great Eastern Run.
Points are awarded at each race for the leading 250 British (eligible to compete for Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the date of the race) finishers from the men’s and women’s separate individual results. 250 points were awarded for the first British finisher, down to 1 point for the 250th British finisher.
A runner’s best four individual points scores from the five races count towards the overall runbritain grand prix.
Time bonus points bewteen sub 61mins and sub 65mins for men and sub 67min to sub 71min for women, are awarded at each of the five races.
The 2011 Grand Prix series, in which over 2,100 runners qualified for points, was won by Phil Wicks and Gemma Steel who both received a first prize of £3,000 as well as individual race prizes. Full details of all the prize winners and points scored can be found on the runbritain website
