Start area
The assembly point for both the Half Marathon and Fun Run will move this year to the Embankment,  The warm-up stage will be running from around 8.30am with live radio broadcasts before everyone is invited to take part in the mass warm up.  The fully staffed Race HQ will be based in the Key Theatre which is next to the start line gantry; this will be open from 8am to answer any queries and for collection of any replacement race packs. 
 
Runners in the Fun Run will be asked to move down to the start line at about 9.45am for a prompt 10am start. 
 
The Wheelchair race will start at 10.25am and the Half Marathon at 10.30am. Once the Fun Run has cleared the start line, runners in the Half Marathon will be asked to move towards the start line into the bays that are broken down into your expected race time.
There will be full toilet facilties at the start area as well as first aid if required.  Entertainment will start at around 8.30am on the main stage as the atmosphere builds up to the start of the 2012 Perkins Great Eastern Run. Secure baggage storage will be availble at the start area, Luggage labels with your race number on wil be sent out with your race pack.  Replacement labels can be obtained from the Race HQ on the day of the race.
 
A majority of the city centre shops open on a Sunday including all shops in the Queensgate Shopping Centre, so you can make the most of your visit to Peterborough, Enjoy a leisurely browse around the shops after completing the race and take advantage of the all day free parking permit that will be issued to everyone entering both the Half Marathon and Fun Run
 
Finish area compound
 
 At the finish line runners will be met by stewards who will guide you through the area from ChampionChip removal to the baggage collection area before exiting the finish compound where your family and friends wil be waiting.  All the winning presentations will be done on the main stage on the outside of the finish compound where entertainment will also take place from about 10.30am.
