This year's Perkins Great Eastern Run route is the same as in 2012 following feedback from runners and key organising partners. The new route gives people better spectator views as well as runners a chance to improve on their previous personal best times.
It was also the first time the Perkins Great Eastern Run started and finished on the Embankment (previously started on Long Causeway).
The route takes runners through a section of the city centre, which is unusual for a half marathon and is one of the unique aspects of the course.
You can see a map of the course here.
